BENGALURU: A man stabbed his wife in the private parts as he suspected her of having an illicit affair and as she spent too much time talking on the phone, in Adugodi on Sunday night.
Dayanand suspected his wife Priyanka of having an illegal affair and stabbed her at their house. A profusely bleeding Priyanka was rushed to the St John’s hospital where her situation is said to be serious. Dayanand had escaped after committing the crime, but the Adugodi police managed to arrest him.

Accused Dayanand came drunk on Sunday night and started a fight saying that his wife Priyanka was talking to someone on the phone. He accused her of having an illicit relationship with someone else at her workplace. Later, he stabbed her thigh and private part with a knife. Priyanka screamed loudly and the locals joined in. At this time, the accused is absconding. The people who joined immediately called 112. Admitted to hospital.
The accused was married Priyanka a few years ago and the couple has two children. Every day before coming home, the accused used to come drunk and make noise. The accused, who was arrested in a crime case, was released from Parappa’s Agrahara Jail only 3 days ago. He had previously gone to jail in a murder case.
