‘MOST WANTED’ Monkey: Carrying Reward of Rs 21,000 – Captured After 20 Attacks

Bhopal: A ‘most-wanted’ monkey, carrying a reward of Rs 21,000 on its head, was finally caught by forest department team. A monkey make trouble in Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh town. The monkey caught in Ujjain district of MP.

Officials from the forest department teamed up with local officials and residents to make calm the money. Touble making monkey has attacked nearly 20 people in the last 2 weeks in Rajgarh town. The monkey attacked the people so profusely that most of them had to get stitches.

If reports are to be believed, a drone was used to trace the location of the monkey. A video from the spot where the ferocious monkey was caught is doing rounds on social media. In the clip, a crowd can be heard raising Jai Shri Ram and Jai Bajrang Bali slogans to put the monkey in a net.

In a bid to catch the monkey, municipality Chairman, Vinod Sahu had announced a reward of Rs. 21000. The municipality officials and administration had also called in a special rescue team. Sahu, while speaking to medias said that the cash prize of ₹ 21,000 will now given to the animal rescue team for catching the monkey.

“The municipality did not have the means to catch that monkey. We reached out to the District Collector and with his help, called in a rescue team of the forest department from Ujjain. The municipality staff and local residents helped them, but it still took 4 hours to catch the monkey, Now captured monkey will be released in a dense forest area so that it cannot attack people” Rajgarh municipal corporation’s chairman Vinod Sahu told medias.
