Local residents halted buses at Kaikamba Junction on Friday, as they condemned the tragic incident that resulted in the death of a youth bike rider near Gurupura Junction on Thursday.
The victim, identified as Santosh Kumar from Polali Kariyam, lost his life in the accident.

The protest at Kaikamba Junction caused a traffic jam in the area. With buses being prevented from leaving the area, passengers heading towards destinations such as Moobidire-Mangalore, Bajape, Polali B Road, and others were left stranded.
Authorities from the Bajpe police station arrived at the scene and are currently engaging in discussions with the locals to address their concerns.
Bantwal constituency Member Rajesh Naik and MLA Bharath sherry visited spot and consultation with the protesters.
