A couple from Hirikara village near Somwarpet of Kodagu district died in a horrific road accident on Ranganakoppalu highway near Bilikere on Saturday.
Retired principal HB Belliyappa (66), a resident of Hirikara village, who was traveling in the car towards Mysore, died on the spot when a collision occurred between a KSRTC bus and a car.
Belliyappa’s wife Veena died while being taken to the hospital. The car was completely damaged and a case has been registered at Bilikere police station.
