Bigg Boss Fame, Television reality star Kishen Bilagali recently took to his Instagram handle to share a video of making the Malnad special ‘Chagali Iruve Chutney’ which is rather known as the red ant chutney.
The video features the former making the chutney all by himself. Kishenis seen climbing a tree to get the red ants for the dish. He then shows the process of cooking and making the Malnad special chutney. As this video is shard on social media, negative and positive comments are coming in.
As he relishes the chutney with some rotis, Kishen also penned a note which speaks about the benefits of consuming the Chagali Iruve Chutney.

And if it’s not for you ignore it then say tu, chi, etc. The chutney contains optimum amounts of zinc, calcium, and protein, which is considered to be very good for the overall immune system, it is also believed to be a great remedy for cough, flu, difficulty in breathing, cold, fatigue, and several other ailments.,” reads Kishen post.

However, the former did receive a few criticism for consuming the chutney on social media. Many have indeed him if he was ok killing the ants to get protein. “So you killed all this to get protein from them?” Asked a user.
While another user commented saying, “Are you crazy ??? you didn’t get protein from vegetables what r u showing in this reel? Only we can get protein from nonveg?” (sic). “Are you seriously eating the ants,” asked another user on social media.
On the other hand, despite receiving criticism, Kishen also received a few positive comments as well. A few of the users spoke about how people from various regions also consume red ant chutney.
