Devananda, who attracted thousands Malayalee audience with her outstanding performance as an innocent child devotee, Kallu, in the movie Malikappuram. Now she visited Sabarimala Ayyapoa Swami temple on her tenth birthday.

Devananda posted pictures on her social media page and said that she has to wait for another forty years to visist Lord Ayyappa at Sabarimala again. She also posted a video of her at Sabarimala on social media.
As the child artist turns ten years old, she will have to wait for another forty years to have a darshan of Lord Ayyappan at Sabarimala.
As per the tradition of the holy shrine, women between age of 10 and 50 are barred from entering the temple. Lord Ayyappa is believed to reside at Sabarimala in his celibate form and out of respect for the deity the women devotees do not visit the temple between these ages.
