In yet another case of a cross-border love affair, a 23-year-old South Korean woman reportedly flew to India to marry her boyfriend, a resident of Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh.
The woman identified as Kim Boh-Nee met with Sukhjeet Singh at a coffee shop in South Busan city. Singh was employed at the shop for more than six years while Kim was employed at the same shop as a billing counter attendant.
Singh had to return to India for six months. Overwhelmed by the separation, Kim decided to come to India. She reached Delhi and then Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh with the support of a friend and reunited with Singh.
The couple recently got married in a ceremony at a gurudwara and followed Sikh traditions. Sukhjeet has reportedly expressed a desire to settle with his wife in Korea.
The woman came to India on a tourist visa and will return to her homeland after a month. While, Sukhjeet will return to South Korea after three months, as reported by news agency IANS.
