As part of a bilateral agreement, Pakistan on Saturday handed over a list of 308 Indian prisoners in its country’s jails to the Indian High Commission. Out of them 42 are civil prisoners and 266 are fishermen.
“This list was handed over pursuant to the Diplomatic Licensing Agreement of 2008,” the Foreign Office (FO) said.
‘India has given a list of Pakistani prisoners to the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, which contains the names of 417 prisoners. Of these, 343 are civilian prisoners and 74 are fishermen,’ said the FO.
